The Commission declared the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) on 17 August 2026. Candidates then had to take part in the Sliding/Identity Verification (IV) process through the login module on the Commission’s website from 1 to 3 September 2026. Candidates who did not attend physically were treated as absent and not considered for the final result.

Detail Number
Total vacancies 3,522
Provisionally shortlisted candidates 3,515
Chose Fix 2,260
Chose Float 927
New allocations (against absent candidates’ vacancies) 328
Candidates whose result is withheld 3

UR 1,675 1,674
OBC 768 766
SC 490 487
EWS 337 337
ST 252 251
Total 3,522 3,515

In the horizontal categories, vacancies / recommended: ESM 301 / 300, OH 35 / 35, HH 43 / 42, VH 39 / 39, PwD-Others 37 / 37. The write-up says candidates in horizontal categories are also counted in their vertical categories, so do not add them again to the total above.

Post-wise numbers and cut-off

Adding up the vertical-category rows (UR, SC, ST, OBC, EWS) of the write-up’s table gives these post-wise numbers:

Post Post codes Vacancies Allocated
LDC/JSA (L35 is LDC/JSA/Clerk-cum-Typist) L01 to L52 3,396 3,396
JHAA L53 89 89
DEO / DEO Grade ‘A’ D54 to D56 37 30

For every post code and every category, the write-up gives the last selected candidate’s total marks, Section-I marks of Tier-II, Tier-I marks and date of birth. So there is no single cut-off; find the row for your post code and category in the PDF. For selections in horizontal categories, the marks appear in that horizontal category’s row. Where nobody was allocated in a category, the table shows ‘-’. Only male candidates were eligible for post code L16 (LDC/JSA in BRO). The maximum marks of Tier-I and Tier-II are not stated in the write-up.

What happens next

After the final result, document verification and appointment formalities will be done by the Department to which the candidate has been allocated. If a candidate receives no correspondence from that Department within six months of the final result, he/she must contact the Department immediately after that. The Commission will not entertain correspondence about document verification or appointment formalities in any circumstances.

No reserve or waiting list is prepared. Unfilled vacancies and vacancies from non-joining of shortlisted candidates will be carried forward to the next year(s) by the Departments. The Commission will compile dossiers of qualified candidates electronically, which the Departments’ Nodal Officers will download from the e-dossier module. The write-up gives no joining date, salary or training details.

Ranks, ties and withheld results

Posts were allocated on the merit-cum-preference of posts submitted online and the Fix/Float option chosen during Sliding/IV. Candidates in the final result have been given fresh ranks, which supersede the FRTA ranks. Ties in Tier-II were resolved in this order: Section-I marks of Tier-II, then Tier-I marks, then date of birth with the older candidate placed higher. The result of 3 candidates has been withheld by the Commission; their roll numbers are in the write-up, but no reason for withholding is stated.

How to check your result and the cut-off

On the notice board of the official website ssc.gov.in, open the CHSLE-2025 final result write-up dated 07.10.2026 and look for your post code and category. The write-up does not mention a separate login or link for viewing an individual result. The final answer keys and detailed marks of selected and non-selected candidates will be uploaded on the Commission’s website ‘in due course’; no date is given. Rely only on the official website.
